Afterlife (Unbelievers)

For UNBELIEVERS the “AFTERLIFE” is an eternal existence in the part of the unseen realm identified as “The Lake of Fire.”  All unredeemed, unbelieving sinners from all humanity are sentenced to eternal condemnation.  They shall justly pay for the wages of their sin and experience the righteous wrath of God forever. (Rom. 2:5; 6:23; 9:22; Eph. 5:6; Col. 3:6; 1 Thess. 5:9; Rev. 14:10-11).

“He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who DOES NOT BELIEVE the Son shall not see life, but the WRATH OF GOD abides on him.” (John 3:36).

The UNBELIEVERS live forever in a certain bodily form that does not include flesh and blood.  They are disembodied from their physical bodies, but have a different kind of bodily form that the bible does not fully describe for us.  Christ told His disciples that the unredeemed go to eternal judgment when they die.  The bible at least mentions that they have “hands,” “feet,” and “eyes,” and “their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched.” (Mark 9:43- 48; also see: Isaiah 66:24).

Christ mentioned that a certain rich man in “torments” in Hades has “eyes” and a “tongue” and is able to “speak,” “think,” and “feel.”  But that description goes no further. (Luke 16:22b-24).  The unredeemed shall not experience the graces of God in the Afterlife, since they rejected Him as their Savior.  Their names are not written in the Book of Life and each of them has his or her part in the Lake of Fire. (Rev. 20:15).
