Holy of Holies

In the second part of the Jewish tabernacle, behind the second veil, was the HOLIEST OF ALL.  This was where God received the blood atonement for the sins of the people on an annual basis.  Jesus Christ was the final everlasting atonement for sin.  This was presented in the heavenly HOLY OF HOLIES or HOLIEST OF ALL or MOST HOLY PLACE after Christ’s ascension in AD 30.

Jesus was the sacrificial Lamb of God (John 1:29, 36); He was the True High Priest (Heb. 9:11); He offered His own literal shed blood at His death for full payment of sin for the world, to be applied to all who come to Him in saving faith (Heb. 9:12; 1 John 2:2; Rom. 10:9-13; John 3:16).  He appeared in the presence of God in the heavenly temple to make final atonement for sin.

24For Christ has not entered the holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true, but INTO HEAVEN ITSELF, now to appear IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD FOR US.” (Heb. 9:24).

At His second coming Parousia in AD 66-70, Christ came back out of the heavenly HOLY of HOLIES to show that salvation was fully consummated and to rescue (save/rapture from the coming wrath outpouring) His remaining faithful saints on earth who were eagerly waiting for His promised return before all of them died (Heb. 9:28; Matt. 16:28-29).

28so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many.  To those who eagerly wait for Him (first century saints) HE WILL APPEAR A SECOND TIME, apart from sin, FOR SALVATION.(Heb. 9:28).
