Love One Another

The solution to having the Body of Christ function properly in the eternal New Covenant spiritual Kingdom after AD 70 is to LOVE ONE ANOTHER.  We do not have laws that we must obey to please God.  His literal shed blood and physical death on the cross in AD 30 fully paid for the penalty for sin, and all who come to Him in genuine repentant faith are fully forgiven and eternally secure in Him.  Each born-again believer has the Holy Spirit indwelling him or her.  We have the completed canon of Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments.

As a corporate Church, and as individuals in the Kingdom, we need to continually study the Word of God and become mature in Christ, spread the gospel to the lost, praise and worship God, honor our Lord, and LOVE ONE ANOTHER.

4Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, 5you also, AS LIVING STONES, are being built up A SPIRITUAL HOUSE, A HOLY PRIESTHOOD, to offer up SPIRITUAL SACRIFICES acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.” (1 Peter 2:4-5).

All believers in the Church are priests of God.  We have direct access to Christ with no go-between.  There is no authority over us, other than Christ.  It is through brotherly love for one another that we can accomplish all that God desires for His Church.  That means we should help one another; be concerned for one another; pray for one another; teach one another; exhort one another; and thus demonstrate sincere LOVE FOR ONE ANOTHER.

We need to understand that there are various levels of maturity in Christ in the Church.  New Christians need more help in understanding the Scriptures and require more patience from other believers.  Therefore, LOVING ONE ANOTHER requires wisdom and submission to Christ in all that we do.  The more mature brothers in the Church are recognized as elders.  They need prayer, respect, and love, just like all of the brethren.  There is no believer who is above another believer.  The key is to LOVE ONE ANOTHER is humility on the part of every Christian in the Church.

10Be KINDLY AFFECTIONATE TO ONE ANOTHER with BROTHERLY LOVE, in honor GIVING PREFERENCE TO ONE ANOTHER.(Rom. 12:10).

9But concerning BROTHERLY LOVE you have no need that I should write to you, for you yourselves are taught by God to LOVE ONE ANOTHER.” (1 Thess. 4:9).

22Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, LOVE ONE ANOTHER fervently with a pure heart.(1 Pet. 1:22).

8Finally, all of you be of one mind, having COMPASSION FOR ONE ANOTHER; LOVE AS BROTHERS, be tenderhearted, be courteous.” (1 Pet. 3:8).

11Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to LOVE ONE ANOTHER.  12No one has seen God at any time. If we LOVE ONE ANOTHER, God abides in us, and HIS LOVE HAS BEEN PERFECTED IN US.(1 John 4:11-12).
